Doug Ellins Pilot 40 Not Moving Forward At Cinemax
EXCLUSIVE: Cinemax has made the decision not proceed with 40, the comedy pilot from Entourage creator Doug Ellin. The only-camera ensemble initially revolved around four long term buddies — performed within the pilot by Erectile dysfunction Burns, Michael Rapaport, Michael Imperioli and Adrian Pasdar — who help one another navigate existence at 40, which is not all they expected so that it is. Following the pilot was shot within the fall, Cinemax and Ellin required a stab at reworking the project with rewrites, however the network ultimately elected to not proceed. Ellin is under a general deal at Cinemax and can still develop for that pay cable network. Additionally to 40, younger crowd executive created the Cinemax drama pilot Da Brick this past year, which remains in contention.
